When most people think of success they think of long hours, clever systems or having a great network. But I believe underneath all of that lies the real foundation of success. Your self esteem.
Your self esteem shapes how you think, act, lead and speak internally. It determines whether you move forward with confidence or hesitate, second guess or hold back.
How is self esteem formed?
Self esteem isn’t something you were born with. It’s built through you’re experiences.
Childhood experiences: Maybe you were praised only when you achieved or criticised for making mistakes. It’s in these moments we create unconscious beliefs about our worth which impact how we show up in the world.
Society and culture: We learn to compare, to measure ourselves against others, to feel that ” we aren’t enough” if we don’t measure up to society and expectations put on us.
Past failures and rejections: Each setback can wire the brain to expect future failure as our brain predicts the future based on the past, unless we rewire it.
Neuroscience shows us that these experiences shape neural pathways. If your brain learned ” I’m not good enough” it will cause you to look at the world through that perception until you change it.
How our inner dialogue shapes low self esteem:
If you’re a professional or business owner low self esteem can show up subtly like:
“Who am I to charge that much?”
“What if I put myself out there and people think I’m a fraud?”
“I’ll just change one more thing before I launch”
“I’m not a natural leader so I won’t say anything”
“Other people are better at this than me”
The Neuroscience of Success and Self Esteem:
Low self esteem can cause us to interpret challenges like setting a bold price, speaking at an event as danger and cause the fight or flight response in the body to be activated which in turn cause us to avoid playing bolder or procrastinate instead of acting.
High self esteem activates your pre frontal cortex, the part of your brain that makes decisions and solves problems. You stay calm, focussed and creative. Which is the key to lasting success.
Research shows entrepreneurs with higher self esteem are more resilient, more innovative and more likely to take risks that pay off. ( Hmieleski & Baron, 2009).
What I find fascinating about this is that resilience and innovation aren’t “strategies” ,they’re states of mind. When I work with clients, I see how shifting inner beliefs directly changes how boldly they show up in business. The study backs up what I see time and time again. Higher self-esteem literally gives entrepreneurs permission to grow.
Why Hypnosis Unlocks Change:
We can all start to think more positive or actively work to change our internal dialogue but this only scratches the surface. The real issue lies in the unconscious mind the place where our beliefs, habits and self image start in the first place. So that you can make change at where it starts.
Hypnotherapy works by:
Reprogramming old beliefs: That say “I’m not worthy, attractive, enough”
Install new identity: Start believing that you are worthy, capable and deserving.
Calm the stress response: Feel relaxed and calm in moments that previously would have caused you stress.
Meta analysis show hypnosis is effective for rewiring subconscious responses and creating lasting behavioural change ( Milling & Kirsch, 2020)
This is exactly why I use hypnosis. It’s not just “relaxation” ,it’s a scientifically validated way to rewire the automatic patterns that drive self-sabotage. When clients tell me, “I don’t feel like I’m fighting myself anymore,” they’re experiencing the behavioural change this research describes.
The Business Impact of Low Self Esteem:
When your self esteem is low it could show up in business like this:
Pricing: You undercharge, discount or apologise for your fees.
Sales & networking: You avoid visibility or downplay your value in conversations.
Decision making: You over think, delay, re edit.
Innovation: You hold back ideas in meetings or fear trying new things.
Leadership: You avoid difficult conversations, weakening your authority.
Growth: You plateau because your unconscious mind keeps you “safe” instead of expanding
In contrast when your self esteem is strong, you take opportunities, set clear, boundaries and create momentum.
If you have ever thought, ” Who am I to do this?” I want you to know, you’re not alone.
You are not broken. You simply have an outdated programme running in your unconscious.
With the right tools you can rewire your inner dialogue, beliefs and help you believe in your success at a deep level so that you step forward with confidence.
Your unconscious is already shaping your business results whether you realise it or not. Imagine what could change if you were aligning your mindset with your growth.

<< YES I’m ready to rewire my mind>>
P.s I’ve been where you are. I only wished I’d discovered Hypnotherapy sooner. It wasn’t until I released the emotions around events in my past and changed my inner dialogue to one that supported me that I truly stepped into my personal power. I can honestly say I feel unstoppable now and believe this is just the beginning. Sometimes we don’t realise how much our mind is keeping us safe from perceived pain and once we release that it’s like having a whole new perception of life and what you are worthy of. I look forward to supporting you on your journey.
