WHAT IS HYPNOTHERAPY?

Hypnosis is a natural state of the mind that we often go into through the day. Have you ever found yourself daydreaming and losing track of time, driven home automatically while your mind was elsewhere or felt emotionally involved watching a movie?

It’s a form of deep relaxation that gives you a heightened state of concentration and focussed attention. Your mind will become more open and receptive to therapeutic suggestion. The analytical part of your mind (the conscious part) stops paying so much attention and it’s in this state, positive changes can be made to our thoughts, feelings and behaviour.

Hypnotherapy is effective for a wide range of conditions:

There are so many more conditions or symptoms that hypnotherapy can help alleviate or relieve. This is not an exhaustive list so if your condition is not listed, please don’t hesitate to get in contact to discuss further.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is hypnosis safe?

Yes, clinical hypnosis is completely safe. You will be aware of everything that is going on. Most clients really enjoy the sessions and feel fully alert, able to drive and get on with their day as planned feeling positive and relaxed. The therapeutic use of Hypnosis is nothing like stage hypnosis, which is purely for entertainment.

What does hypnosis feel like?

Hypnosis is a state of relaxation, imagine taking a journey in your mind or imagination. Very similar to falling asleep, just not losing conscious awareness. Some people expect to be completely unaware but it’s simply a feeling of being nicely relaxed. You will hear my voice, sounds around you and be able to move. You are not unconscious or asleep. You will simply feel relaxed.

Can session be conducted online?

Yes absolutely, all sessions are just as effective online as they are in person. We offer Skype, Zoom sessions.

How many sessions will I need?

Treatment times will vary from person to person. Most clients notice beneficial changes after the first consultation others may benefit from further sessions. It very much depends on the individual and the circumstances. My aim is to achieve the results in the quickest amount of time.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes absolutely, it’s an opportunity for me to learn more about you and the to offer you the best possible service. I can also answer any queries and resolve any concerns. These can take place via Zoom, skype, telephone call or in person. The initial appointment includes both consultation and therapy as I like to get clients moving on as quickly as possible and make progress.

Can you guarantee results?

Unfortunately, no hypnotherapy treatment can guarantee you results. For hypnosis to become successful it requires your commitment and a desire to change. It’s a collaborative process. Scientific studies have shown hypnosis to be effective in treating a wide range of symptoms. But of course, it does have its limitations and sometimes it’s unsuccessful despite the desire to change. But thankfully this is rare. I can assure you I will use all my skills and expertise to help you make changes and achieve your goals.
