Please read these terms and conditions which apply to the provision of hypnotherapy taking place in Theresa Gallagher’s hypnotherapy practice, any online therapy, and with the use of this website. They are designed to protect your interests as a client. By making an appointment, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.


I appreciate that you could be running late. If you could inform me as soon as possible via text or a call 07725053049. I may not pick up the message immediately as I could be with a client. I will try to accommodate the change to times although it might not always be possible with scheduled appointments. The session booked may finish at the original time. The session fee remains payable in full even if the session runs shorter due to a late arrival.


Each consultation lasts for approximately one hour. Stop smoking lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. A free, brief initial consultation lasting approximately 20 minutes can also be booked free of charge.


The consultation fees are subject to reviews. Notice will always be given of any price increases when you are in a course of therapy.


You will be asked to complete a therapy questionnaire before starting treatment this will include your personal details, medical and lifestyle issues that may affect your treatment. If anything changes during your treatment, I ask that you update the information before your next therapy session.

Hypnosis is not suitable if you are affected by Epilepsy, dementia or receiving psychiatric treatment, affected from psychosis. If you are diagnosed with any of the above during our work together, please advise me immediately.

I may also ask for a written referral from your doctor before therapy can begin. By signing the questionnaire, clients are giving Theresa permission to hold records and data in accordance with our privacy policy.


We ask for all therapy sessions to be paid in full 48 hrs before your appointment. This can be done by BACS after receiving your invoice for the session or sessions. There is also the option of paying over the phone using your credit or debit card to secure your appointment. Appointments will be confirmed after this. Payments for follow up sessions can also be taken at the practice or booked online using the same methods.


If you wish to amend or cancel your appointment the booking system will allow you to cancel up to 24 hrs before the appointment is scheduled otherwise 50% of the full fee is payable. A “no show” requires full payment of the session if no prior notice has been given. We do appreciate that sometimes missing appointments can be out with your control. Please contact the practice to discuss 07725053049. Under exceptional circumstances I may have to cancel your appointment giving as much notice as possible. I will not be liable for any financial or other consequences of the cancellation. You have the right to cancel any order made over the phone, by email, text or via the internet as per the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. I will contact you through your preferred method of contact and through the booking system. Please ensure your contact details are correct at time of booking.


Any information collected will be in the strictest confidence. Your privacy is respected. The information collected is to ensure you receive the best possible service. There may be occasions where confidentiality is disclosed if there is good cause to believe the client is in danger or harm or is a danger or at harm to others.


During your sessions, I will always treat you with the utmost respect and compassion in turn I ask that you respect me, my home, my neighbours and my property. You agree to come to the sessions not under the influence of alcohol or drugs unless prescribed by a doctor. If you contravene these standards, I reserve the right to cancel your session and any further therapy without reimbursement.

Please note that during your therapy session I may need to touch your arm, hand or knee. I will only do this with your consent.


Unfortunately, no hypnotherapy session can guarantee results. For hypnosis to be successful it requires a commitment and motivation from you, along with a desire to change. There are occasions where even with the motivation to change it still is unsuccessful but thankfully this is rare. By paying for your sessions, you agree to be fully involved and committed to the whole process (which may include self-work between sessions).

An estimate of the number of sessions will be given at the initial consultation and will be subject to change. Every person is individual and may require sessions dependant on their circumstances. The number of sessions I recommend is based on results achieved from previous clients and case studies.

There is parking for 1 car on my driveway but please take care when walking as there are uneven surfaces.


We do ask that you have a stable internet connection and a suitable space where you won’t be disturbed for online therapy.


All complaints are taken very seriously, and a response will be provided within the earliest opportunity. Every care will be given to resolve your concerns as quickly and appropriately as possible.
